Everything Ombre

Afternoon, lovelies! I am catching up a bit – I have the loveliest wedding to share with you but I am going to save that for tomorrow, along with an absolutely awesome piece of wedding dress inspiration. Eeek! So much pretty to show you guys, now I just need to find the time to get it up here! There’s a lot going on behind the scenes, as you can imagine, but all will be revealed in time. ANYWAY, today. Today is all about ombre. Which has been kind of a slow burn love affair for me. That has now blossomed into a full blown passion. I ADORE, people. I adore. If you don’t know what ombre is, it’s a French word for ‘shaded’ which refers to the effect of a full strength colour fading out into white. Apart from Gwen Stefani’s wedding dress (could that chick actually be any more fashion forward if she tried?) I wasn’t sure about this one, but now I am seeing it everywhere and every time I see it I love it more. And I am not the only person in love with it, so get ready to see plenty more in fashion and design. The good news is, that this is one trend that works SO well for weddings, because of the interplay between soft and bright colours, and white. And it’s just subtle enough to be classic, but trendy enough to be current and something your guests may not have seen before. In fact, I am just going to say it: will some lovely bride please just choose this for their wedding, then send me the pictures and make me a happy woman? C’maaan! Pleeease? ;)

(Also, for the record, I am totally rocking an ombre manicure at the wedding I am attending next weekend. Look it up. You’ll love it.)

So here’s the best of wedding web doing ombre… stationery, cakes (oh, the cakes!), dresses, decor… It’s all just so delicious, delightful and delovely.
