Pearl & Ivory Spring 2014 Lookbook

Who’s ready for some wedding gorgeousness? Well you, obviously. And also me. And we’re both about to get our wishes granted with a whole heap of prettiness courtesy of the fab Pearl & Ivory, a bridal label based in Somerset West, South Africa. These fine folks (who sell everything from dreamy dresses and accessories to elegant stationery) are relaunching their website today, and SouthBound Bride is super happy to be able to share their latest lookbook, which also happens to have been shot by one of our favourite photographers, Yolande Marx. Happy dances all round!

Here’s Pearl & Ivory’ story…
Pearl & Ivory is a fresh and unique approach to bridal in South Africa; a line dedicated towards creating innovative designs and timeless memories. Our roots stem from our sister-company, Scarlett Fashion, thus a passion for experience and creating one-of-a-kind moments runs deep. But our offering extends beyond the glitz and glamour of evening dress attire – ours is a voice that celebrates a woman’s most anticipated milestone, her wedding. Our collection is inspired by the sweeping expressions of a couple’s love, embracing feminine and soft-spoken styles, brimming with a twist of vintage and modern aesthetics. We travel the world in search of emerging trends, superior craftsmanship and exclusive, one-of-a-kind pieces that reflect our passion for the finer details. Some of the things we look for include couture wedding dresses, bridesmaid dresses, delicate hair adornments, bridal headpieces, bridal jewellery and accessories.. We have teamed up with Abelina Wedding Shoes – a new service launching in South Africa beginning of next year. The unique service offers brides the opportunity to select a shoe from the Abelina range and customize the design from “heel to toe” (literally!) – choose the design, colour, heel height, size and voila!

But it goes beyond the dress. Our love for beautifully crafted items and thoughtful design inspired us to spread our wings and establish a full in-house couture design and print studio specializing in exclusive wedding invitations and stationery. We believe the couple’s dream day begins on paper, commissioning the opening paragraph of their love story. Through thoughtful design, we capture the essence of our clients by providing a creative outlet where your imagination sets the limit and the result is something that is uniquely, unquestionably, yours.

Our first flagship store is nestled in the heart of Somerset West, Cape Town, where one will find all of our exclusive products and in-house design studio. As from March 2015, selective Pearl & Ivory products will be available in selected stores nationwide and we are currently accepting new retailers.
