I have such a pretty couple sesh to share with you all this afternoon, chock-full of colourful flowers and summery love! (And yes, I appreciate the irony as I write this with rain lashing at my windows, sigh.) Elreza and Chris, a pair of newlyweds, decided to have a little styled session a few weeks after their big day. Still sporting that just-married glow, they roped in photographer Velani Venter and a team of creatings, then styled up a storm, embellishing a swing with blooms and basking in the golden glow of light filtering through the trees for the most romantic e-session you can imagine!
We asked Velani how this sweet photo session came about:
Inspired by her wedding, which had happened just a few weeks before, Elreza and I teamed up to create this lovely, colourful styled session. We decided to recreate the big day with just a little twist and a dash of colour. Elreza owns an interiors business and I’m a walking ball of creativity, so the creative juices were overflowing! I’m still swooning over this colourful session. With eucalyptus greens, different shades of pinks, and blues, we created a magical backdrop behind the Wilger trees on a handmade swing at a local wedding venue. It’s safe to say we had a ton of flowers and an entire creative army who helped make this possible. We covered the entire swing with flowers and eucalyptus, not to mention the chandelier we hung from the trees or the twenty flower-covered rings hanging from the trees. It was magical, like something out of a fairytale – especially with the sun gleaming trough the trees.
