Happy Friday friends! Can you believe we’re almost at the end of January? I refuse to start looking ahead to autumn though (not quite yet, anyway!), and today’s styled shoot is absolutely perfect for keeping that spring/summer vibe alive. With a mix of watercolour detailing (including a beautiful ombre dress!), sparkly gold and pops of poppy poppiness, it’s absolutely perfect for a romantic beach wedding. Davene Prinsloo and her team were on the scene to capture every detail and make each one count.
From Davene:
It all started one random day when I ran into Tanya from Tanya Events and she, very enthusiastically, spoke about a styled session she would like to work on with me. Tanya is an events co-ordinator who also does event decor and flowers and she’s really good at it. So when she approached me, I was all on board and really excited to work with her. When we began discussing models, I just knew I had to ask Adrielle, she is just so beautiful and I’ve always wanted to photograph her. Tanya suggested we ask Carrie as well, and although I’d never met her, I absolutely trusted Tanya’s vision, so I agreed. When I met Carrie, she was simply ideal for the shoot. Her and Adrielle did such a great job as models! The talented Melissa van Rensburg did the girls’ make-up. What an amazing job she did! The two models wore three different wedding gowns, all supplied by Melissa. In fact, one of the dresses was Melissa’s mom’s gown from… wait for it… 30 years ago! We photographed the first part of the shoot in Tanya’s mom’s house in Jefferey’s Bay. This was totally unplanned, but it was really windy on the beach so we didn’t want to risk everything blowing away. As soon as the wind settled a bit we went out to the beach.

What a beautiful shoot. I love the crown with flowers and leaves! So natural and bohemian…
