London Love Couple Shoot

Oh you guys. I am SO in love with these photographs, and it’s the perfect way to end a week of wonderful couple shoots. It’s one of those where once you’ve seen the images, you can’t get them out of your head, starting with the first one, which I completely fell for when I saw it on Cheryl McEwan’s blog. Not only are Lylie and Will completely gorgeous and wrapped up in one another, but it makes the place I live now look so magical. Not always easy in a bustling city that has been photographed a thousand different ways! I think it really makes a difference that the locations are all places that mean something to the couple, so even though they’re iconic and very public spots they all feel incredibly personal. (Oh, and the dog… what can I say – Lylie and Will, if your ADORABLE pup goes missing, it was totally me who came and stole her!)

I met Cheryl a few weeks ago (more on that coming up!) and she is absolutely lovely, PLUS she’s heading back to South Africa soon, so local couples will be able to get in on the awesome too. She was sweet enough to send over some more info on the shoot:
Lylie and Will decided to do a couple’s shoot in specific settings in London that reminded them of the wonderful times they have had over the last few years. Will, originally from PE, and Lylie from Jozi have both been in London for over eight years and met three and a half years ago at an event Lylie had organised at the prestigious Ritz Hotel in London. They had both heard about each other (thanks to a few friends trying to get them together) but had never actually met… Will popped the question just over a year later on a holiday in SA, followed by their wedding at Simola, Knysna a year after that. Now almost two years on, they are happier then ever. The newest edition to their family is little Tiki ( a 12-week-old King Charles cavalier puppy), who is the Kate Moss of the puppy model world and loved posing for the photos.

Lylie wrote: Our time in London has been the best adventure with so many wonderful memories. The Ritz is such a special place for us: where we met, where we had our first year anniversary and where we have enjoyed lovely afternoon tea with the family. The parks in London have always been our saving grace – a place we can enjoy summer days in the sun with a picnic and great friends. So we tried to get all our special moments captured…thanks to Cheryl.
Cheryl was kind enough to do our pics and was an absolute pleasure….up at the crack of dawn on a Sunday and so cheerful and professional. I would recommend her to anyone…feel free to contact me.

PS How much do we love Lylie’s bracelet in the last shot, and the signs at Picadilly Circus combining to say: “Happiness… where there is a will there is a way”?? Sigh.
