Happy Monday friends! We have so much fab content to share this week, and we’re starting off with a beautiful fine art shoot from my friend Louise over at B.LOVED. I love stepping into Louise’s world, which has got more beautiful as the years have gone by and she’s gone from strength to strength as a stylist, and this spring-inspired shoot is a gorgeous example. With a spectacular English venue, soft fabrics, romantic details, and a beautiful corally-blush palette to match the camellias that were abundantly in bloom, and stunning photography by Kate Nielen, I can’t think of a better way to celebrate spring.
Here’s a bit of background from the creative team:
Inspired by the abundance of spring and romance of the quintessentially English country setting of Chiswick House & Gardens, this shoot combines lush florals and organics with the anticipation and freshness of a new season. Taking our lead from the camellias in full bloom in the Chiswick House conservatory, Louise combined a palette of soft blush and cream with pops of stronger pink shades and touches of rose gold. Our bride wore a duo of dresses from Luella’s Bridal. Poppy, designed by Shanna Melville, features applique flowers – the perfect compliment to an oversized bouquet with cascading foliage by All for Love – and accessorised with hair vines from Donna Crain. Genevieve, by Sally Eagle, with lace sleeves and layers of fine tulle in the skirt, is reminiscent of the most famous of English brides, Kate Middleton. With this look we paired a delicate crown of crystal and gold, and Chloe Rose heels from Charlotte Mills. Hair & makeup artist Alison Jenner worked with the classic English bridal look, using blush and berry tones and keeping the base light and fresh to show off Sherise’s beautiful freckles! From a romantic, loose updo and tumbling curls to rustic-luxe braids, this shoot is full of bridal inspiration for our classic romantic brides!
The table, styled and designed by Stephanie at Fleur & Fig, is swathed in gorgeous linens from Table to Dine For and Kate Cullen, layered with lace-like tableware and matte gold cutlery from Duchess & Butler. Blush pink candleholders flank a beautifully elegant table centre created by the team at All for Love, combining fragrant garden roses with blousy camellias and lashings of on-trend foliage. Each place setting is adorned with a single bloom and the delicate calligraphy stationery suite designed by Oh Wonder Calligraphy also pays homage to the beautiful camellia. Bursting with colourful sugar flowers, the cake by Little Bear Cakery quite rightly takes centre stage – we couldn’t think of a better design to complement the romantic springtime vibe of this shoot!
