Elegant Beach Wedding Accessories for the Bride

Beach Wedding Accessories

I do love my little trawls around Etsy – it feels a little like I’m in search of buried treasure, and whenever I turn up something truly lovely, something I know you all will love, it really is like I found the pirate’s gold. That’s particularly appropriate for today’s roundup, which includes all kinds of lovely little trinkets with a touch of the sea for brides, grooms, and bridesmaids. And while too many themey things could be a little cheesy, each one of these beach wedding accessories for a bride stands alone as an elegant addition to your wedding attire. So peek inside the treasure chest and see which is your favourite!

Invitations for Every Wedding Style

When it comes to wedding planning, I’m a big fan of choosing a style that best reflects you and your husband- or wife-to-be before making any big decisions (see my step-by-step guide to figuring out your wedding style & colours). From venue to decor to attire, that style weaves its way through your whole day, right down to the smaller details like stationery. Smaller but definitely no less important! A good suite of paper can really bring everything together, which is another reason why its so important you pick the right one. Today I’m super stoked to introduce you to the new collection from Wedding Paper Divas. This clever invitation brand has a user friendly site that allows you to search by style, theme and colour and more, as well as plenty of cool matching details from coasters to address labels. But I especially LOVE that Wedding Paper Divas does a free sample kit option, because there’s just nothing quite like holding the actual paper in your hand to confirm you’ve made the right decision. Here are a few of my favourites from the collection, as well as all the info you need to get those samples!

20 Bridal Hairstyles with Real Flowers

These last several seasons, it has been allllll about the floral crown in wedding lala land, and I couldn’t have been happier, because flower crowns combine two of my favourites – gorgeous bridal style and fresh flowers! But this season there’s been another emerging trend – a little more subtle but no less pretty, and I am loving it. Brides have been rocking fresh flowers – in arrangements at the tuck of a chignon, as single blooms pinned behind one ear, tucked into their veil, or even woven into a braid. SO pretty. And with this being our month dedicated to secret garden prettiness, I just had to round up twenty of my faves. Now hands up, ladies – which is your fave?

20 Ceremony Door Arches & Altars

When it comes to wedding ideas and design in general, the things that always really get me are just… whimsical. The post office that sends out teeny tiny letters. Donut walls. Dogs in floral collars. And this, my favourite of all whimsical wedding ideas – the door in the air. We first started seeing ‘outdoor chapels’ a few years ago, and the charm of a freestanding door being used as the entrance to an outdoor ceremony has only increased as time’s gone by. I mean, it’s adorable. And it’s also a great way to make an entrance, because you get to do that fling-the-church-doors-wide-as-the-bride-appears thing, even if you’re saying your vows in the middle of the forest or on a beach. Some couples have switched things around and used the doors as an actual altar, and that’s great too. All I know is, every time I see a vintage door being upcycled as ceremony decor, especially if it’s draped in flowers, my heart beats just a little bit faster. If you’re planning a secret garden wedding this is a must-have, but even if you’re not, this is one way to bring some sheer delight to your ceremony, even before the vows are spoken.

20 Fancy Floral Wedding Cakes

Oh flowers! I’m so excited that this month is about everything floral and green and garden wedding related, because it really gives me a chance to indulge my love of extravagant florals and do I ever have some pretty stuff coming your way. But to kick it off, I just had to round up one of my favourite places to find florals (apart from bouquets and tables) – on wedding cakes. I’ve rounded up floral print cakes in the past (swoon!) but today we’re going 3D. Some of these floral toppers are real, some are sugar, some you can barely tell. But what they all are is stunning. Whether you go for something statement and extravagant like this or something more subtle, even the most plain and classic cake can be completely transformed with a floral makeover.

Bridesmaid Separates

bridesmaid separates

UPDATED FOR 2021* Time for some fashion, lovelies! One of the trends that I am LOVING at the moment is bridesmaid separates – everything from crop tops to more demure shirts and skirts, flirty tea length tulle, and maxi beauties. There are so many different ways you can go with this, depending on the style of your wedding. It’s also a great way to do mismatched, or to create a bridesmaid look that works for a range of different body types. Not to mention that it’s an easy look to achieve, even if you and your girls are oceans apart. So I thought I would round up some of my favourite bridesmaid separates looks from real weddings, as well as some gorgeous two-piece bridesmaid dresses from Etsy.
