**Updated for 2020** Get ready for some serious dress love, my darlings! A while back, I rounded up some of the absolute DREAMIEST pastel gowns on SBB, and I haven’t stopped dreaming about them since. So when the theme for May was settled on as ‘Something Blue’, I couldn’t wait to go out and source some spectacular blue (and blue-grey) wedding gowns from our favourite online inspirational marketplace, Etsy. And my word, but did I ever find some beauties. Every single one of these blue wedding dresses has something that makes it extra special beyond just the colour (which let’s be honest, is pretty awesome on its own, from baby blue to ice blue to dusty blue!) – a lace detail here, a sparkle there, and a whole lot of cloud-soft tulle. If you weren’t thinking of a ‘something blue’ wedding gown before? Well, you will be now!

Something Blue Wedding Bouquets

As you know, we’re singin’ the blues in May, and one of my favourite ways to have a something blue at your wedding is via a blue bouquet. But blue bouquets are a funny thing – because there aren’t that many blue blooms (compared to, say, pink or white), an-all blue arrangement can be a bit… overwhelming, or at least look a bit artificial. Which is why, even when they’re planning a wedding with a blue palette, many brides choose to go with white or silvery flowers and foliage. But with the right flowers in season, and the right combinations and accessories (blue ribbons? love), it can be done – and these 20 incredible bouquets show just how beautifully so.

Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue… we all know the rhyme from English folklore, and whether or not you’re superstitious about bringing good luck, I think it’s a sweet tradition to observe on your wedding day. In the past, the ‘something blue’ was often a garter or a handkerchief, or embroidery in the bride’s dress, but while those are still lovely ideas, I thought I would round up 20 slightly different ways that the modern bride could incorporate this part of the tradition. From going all-out with a blue wedding gown (they’re gorgeous, why not!) to little details you can add to your design and decor (even if blue isn’t your main theme colour), each one of these ideas is classy and fabulous.

When I started researching ‘Industrial Chic’, which as you all know is our theme for April, one of the things I noticed is how many absolutely gorgeous ceremony spaces had been created and styled in areas that you might not have dreamed would be wedding appropriate. From factory corners to brick walls, staircases to windows and doorways, brides and grooms and stylists have been dreaming up installations and floral decorations and a million other ways to make those unassuming spaces special for the moment you say your ‘I do’s. Before we all head off for the weekend, I have one last little post on our farmer’s market theme to share. I absolutely love place settings that include produce – whether fruit or vegetable – as a sweet little touch. In fact, I’ve used fruit in two of the editorials I’ve styled myself over the years. And I can’t think of a better way of getting across the feeling of farm-to-table than this. The great thing is that you can use pretty much any fruit and vegetable – we’ve seen absolutely beautiful designs using everything from pumpkins to pomegranates, from apples to artichokes, and everything in between. For extra green points, choose something local and seasonal, and place one at each setting. We’ve rounded up 20 of our favourite examples to inspire.

Rustic Farmer’s Market Style Wedding Invitations

So, we’ve been chatting this month about farmer’s market slash farm to table slash generally organic and rustic wedding style. We’ve spoken about decor, we’ve spoken about food – but there’s one aspect we haven’t touched on yet at all. Paper! Yep, stationery for a wedding with this theme is as much fun to think about as ever! I had a little wander around Etsy and Minted, two of our faves, and I found some suites that I think you guys are going to LOVE. Some feature produce like fruit or vegetables, some cultivate that farmhouse table feel, and others are just generally rustic and gorgeous. When our Farmer’s Market theme for March was decided on, there was one post from our archives that I was particularly excited to revisit. This roundup of fruit & vegetable bouquets has been popular ever since it was published, and I loved all the combos that were included in it, with their range of produce inclusions, but over the years since, I’ve often found myself doing a little blogger swoon over something new and thinking how much prettier bouquets with edible bouquets just seem to keep getting. So it was awesome to have a chance to revisit the look and share some more beauties – I honestly think these are some of my absolute favourite bouquets ever! You’ll find a range of whimsical, colourful and downright quirky inclusions here, from litchis to chilli peppers, and including some perennial favourites like citrus and artichokes and kale. The bottom line?
