Morning lovely ones! We’re starting off our day today with some boudoir inspiration that really encompasses the idea of natural beauty to me. Our subject looks so comfy, so happy and so beautiful! And she’s surrounded by gorgeous nature, and the most delicious light – spectacularly captured by photographer Angie Capri. Years ago, my friend Marcelle and I went to see Blue Crush, and when we walked out we basically decided we should give up our jobs and lives in London immediately, move to Hawaii and learn to surf. That obviously didn’t last past the post-movie cocktails, but there is a part of me – the same part that grew up in Port Elizabeth with a bunch of heybrus – that secretly yearns to be a surfer chick. Considering that involves standing on a moving board and my sense of balance is at a negative, that will probably never happen, but today I’m living out the fantasy vicariously with a gorgeous tropical boudoir shoot from US photographer Angie Capri. I just love the sunny, laid-back feeling in these photographs, and the way that Angie’s hands, boudoir is playful and fun rather than lad’s mag trashy. Retro Pinup Bridal Boudoir by Angie Capri

It’s been a while since I featured a boudoir session here on SBB, but I couldn’t squeezing one into the schedule when I saw the fun 1940s pinup style that photographer Angie Capri and her bride-to-be, Rachel, put together for this shoot! For me, it’s the perfect example of how a boudoir session doesn’t have to be nudey to be sexy (in fact, Rachel was pretty much covered up throughout), and best of all, how much fun and confidence boosting it can be! Cozy Winter Engagement Shoot by Angie Capri

Afternoon, lovelies! As you’ve probably picked up by now, I’m am absolutely dog-besotted, so when photographer Angie Capri sent over this absolutely adorable winter shoot including not just the sweetest couple, Melissa & CJ, but their dog Yukon too, I just couldn’t resist sharing it with you! It’s such a relaxed shoot (in the dreamiest light), that really shows off the personalities of the couple (and their pooch) and instead of being stiff, formal posed pics, are the kind that show them enjoying time together as a little family, and I’m sure are much-treasured! I also love the way that Melissa and CJ chose to have their wedding and e-shoots in two of their favourite locations – nothing like celebrating life’s biggest milestones in places that you absolutely love.Read More
