This month has been all about bright colours (and we’ll actually be carrying on with this through the end of the week) – it’s been the perfect way for me personally to welcome in summer! And since it’s all about the colour, I just had to go through our archives and pull together 10 palettes that use bright shades of orange, yellow, coral, blue, green and pink to show you just how gorgeous colour can be! Every one of these makes me feel super happy, and for me that’s the best reason to use bright hues on your big day – they reflect the sheer joy of the occasion and get everyone in a celebratory mood! So… which is your fave? (Links in bold denote affiliate links. SouthBound Bride may make a commission if a sale is made.)

Kicking things off with a palette that’s all about fuschia (and peach, and tangerine), florals, and fun! These colours together are a classic combination (with the softer tones adding a bit of extra depth, and clean white creating a modern edge). More is definitely more here, and isn’t it fabulous?

This gorgeous look sets a preppy monochrome black tie look right off against bright pastel pinks and yellows. It’s fun, it’s summery, and it’s elegant – if Kate Spade got married in summer, this might be what it looked like. Also? Polka dots. LOVE.

Bright and beautiful doesn’t have to mean a mass of different colours. How about this cool shade of aquamarine which pops so amazingly with a lemon yellow? Beyond perfect for spring or summer!

This is a new board just created this month, but it’s already a fave. Acid brights come from citrus shades of lemon, lime, grapefruit and orange, and contrast with a beautiful soft blue and elegant styling. Isn’t it luuuuurvely?

Inc.}; neon table number {Shoot This Not That} | Row 2: Coral shoes {Laura Murray Photography/Holly Gerard}; cutlery bundle {Shoot This Not That}; coral table decor {Elizabeth Scott Photography/Sweet November Events} | Row 3: Neon necklace {Imbue Weddings/Byron Loves Fawn}; flowers; menu with neon string {Kate Harrison Photography/Enjoy Events Co. Inc.}
Neon is a difficult one to get right for weddings, but this is my favourite neon combo from over the years. Combining a soft coral and peach with an acid yellow still feels romantic and wedding-ey, but has that unexpected pop! Perfect for a rustic do.

If that was the subtle neon, this is the full package! This modern, offbeat wedding design goes full-scale ’90s with the pink, green, yellow and orange neons, and sets them against a graphic white-white and plenty of fun details like buttons, balloons, and even neon macarons. Against the odds, I love it – this would make such a fab city wedding for a fun-loving couple who loves a bit of retro style!

Let’s get tropsy! This tropical board includes 2017 Pantone COY Greenery and mixes it with bright pinks to fabulous effect! Love how this bright green matches with the pinks here to make a classic palette just that little bit more modern and fresh. And any wedding that includes flamingos is winning by me!

Pastels are always a great choice for a summer wedding, but this board takes those soft spring pastels and turns them up, Miami style. The result is a fun rainbow of blues, pinks, greens and yellows (and some of the fun-nest bridesmaid dresses ever, right?) You couldn’t help but have a good time at this wedding!

This board takes its cue from a summer garden party: sundresses for the ladies, lemonade, alcoholic popsicles, ribbon wands. We’re back to that orange and pink combo here, but with the fruity addition of melon, pink and a punch of yellow. Like a fruit punch, in the form of a wedding. Could anything be more perfect for summer?

This board is a real fave of mine from the archive! I absolutely love the mix of cool green, soft pinks and purples and then a pop of bright fuschia, as well as the botanical feel of the whole thing, don’t you?
