I am beyond excited to share this stunningly beautiful styled shoot with you all today! Celestial weddings are one of 2018’s biggest trends, but although I’ve seen it done well, I’ve never seen fine art wedding style and astronomical themes come together in such a beautiful way until I came across this gorgeous editorial by Kiss from Fleur, Cornelia Lietz and their team. Everything from the table styling to the hair and makeup to the stationery is dreamy and ethereal, with just a touch of moody and I adore the little details: a cake that looks like it’s been dusted with stars, star map place settings, sparkly gowns, and even a crescent moon backdrop. So very inspiring!
I asked Anna from Kiss from Fleur about her inspiration for this shoot, and she said it was the “mysticism and spirituality between heaven and earth”. The idea was to take readers into a celestial world, guided by a sort of moon goddess in a shimmering gown. On the tables, soft blush and white fabrics are set off with touches of plum and pure night sky black, with orchids providing a recurring, earthy element. Hand-lettered calligraphy stationery mirrors the celestial theme, with beautiful quotes from throughout the ages. Each of the minimalist bride-models wears glittering moons in their hair as well as black velvet, star-embossed heels. Finally, an angelic, celestial cake rounds out this star-crossed universe. Sigh!
