Last week we showcased the first part of this gorgeous shoot and today we’re revisiting it for part 2 and a second dose of colour – love! Bring me all the colour! This time, instead of lush real blooms, the focus is on lush paper blooms! And these aren’t the kind you made in pre-school, oh no – this is paper flowers on a whole new level thanks to Luna Artistry. And while I love the real thing, colour loving brides can get an extra punch from the bright hues available outside the natural world, along with fantastical shapes and whimsical floral creations that are oh so lovely! Once again, the pics and styling come from the talented Hello Love Photography – we love having Dominique as part of our circle of wedding pros!

Beauty in Colour Tropical Wedding Inspiration
OK SERIOUSLY, HOW IS IT OCTOBER? I’m sulking a bit, I have to admit (especially as I have a birthday looming at the end of the year) but fortunately, if I wanted cheering up there is literally no better way than with this month’s theme. Because in October we are ALL about the colour. Summer Brights, to be specific. It’s like jumping out of the cool muted hues of the fine art features of the last month straight into a neon rainbow, and I love it. I also can’t think of a better way to kick it off than with today’s feature, which comes from the wonderful Hello Love Photography and Dominique’s talented team of vendors (have to make special mention of Oopsie Daisy Flowers for these flowers!). This is actually a two-parter (look out for more inspiration tomorrow) but today we have a riot of tropical colours, bold makeup, bright blooms, and general incredibleness. In fact, if you were ever on the fence about whether too much colour could be a good thing, this will change your mind! So let’s embrace this new season and dive in, shall we? Yay!
Día De Los Muertos Wedding Inspiration
I promised you a second gorgeous feature today, and I am SUPER excited to share this one, as it’s so utterly beautiful! If you didn’t know, today and tomorrow mark the celebration of the Mexican festival, Día de Muertos, Day of the Dead. It’s a holy day, where families gather to celebrate their loved ones who have passed on, celebrate their lives, and help support their spiritual journey. I think it’s such an incredible way to honour these friends and family members who we miss, and instead of being creepy or sad, it’s celebrated with a fiesta of colour and life. It’s top of the bucket list for me to go to Mexico to see this wonderful festival for myself, and one day I will, but for now, I get to bring a little bit of Mexico to SouthBound Bride with this wonderful styled shoot created by a team of local wedding pros, including SBB faves Hello Love Photography. I adore what they’ve put together here – the bright colours and beautiful blooms (real, paper and on one of the showstopping Silver Swallow gowns!), and hello, tequila bar – it’s a vibrant tribute to the occasion and an absolute feast for the eyes!
Geometric Vogue Wedding Inspiration
I promised you guys some amazing styled shoots this month, and I wasn’t kidding! Plus, today’s slice of chic comes courtesy of one of our favourite local suppliers, the lovely Dominique of Hello Love Photography, which makes it extra special. Dominique and her team decided to create a look inspired by geometric minimalism – a bold, modern, and oh-so-stylish take on both bridalwear and table design that comes in two parts. The colours are incredible – stark white and gold with pops of deep emerald in Part 1 of the shoot and teal in Part 2 – and the geo details are fabulous, from the gold backdrop to the table decor to the cake. Oh, the cake! Add in some statement paper succulents, bold makeup, and a lush organic bouquet, and you have something really special. I especially love the fashion choices here, because as we discovered a couple of weeks ago, bridal pantsuits are so hot right now! And the kimono top and tulle skirt combo in Part 2 is just as amazing. So, let’s get inspired!
Farm Charm Wedding at Die Klipskuur by Hello Love Photography
If you’re wondering what a sweet as pie, down-home farm wedding looks like – well, this would be it. Set in Die Klipskuur’s rustic barn, with a colour palette of blush, sage and cream, and pretty handmade details throughout, Anri and Abri’s wedding has all the charm of the farm and little extra magic besides. Details to love include cushions that did double duty as favours and ceremony seating, diagonal drapes on the chairs, a naked brownie cake (YUM!), eucalyptus wreath bouquets for the bridesmaids and teeny tiny veldskoen bouts for the boys (SO adorable!). The wonderful Hello Love Photography, part of the SBB Directory family, was on the scene to capture these darling pictures of the big day.
Opulent Monochrome Wedding Inspiration
When it comes to colour, you all know by now that I’m a little… fickle. I love bolds. I love pastels. I love pops. I love neutrals. And I love, love, love (with the part of my heart that is all Gucci and Chanel and gold jewellery and little black dresses) monochrome. As Coco herself said: “When I find a colour darker than black, I’ll wear it”! And when it comes to your wedding day, these days there’s no reason why you can’t rock a little black dress – or a lot of one. That’s what the model in today’s bold and beautiful styled shoot does, and what a dress! I absolutely adore this sexy, stylish gown from JVR Couture, and it’s the perfect centrepiece to a set-up that mixes opulence and simplicity. A strong, sophisticated palette of black, white and gold, with luxe touches like ruffles and chandeliers, and lush flowers, and gilded plates and pears. If you’re a glamorous bride, then this is very much going to be your vibe – what an awesome job by SBB Directory member Hello Love Photography!
Vintage Farm-style Klipskuur Wedding by Hello Love Photography {Nadine & Joe}
Today’s bride and groom were all about the farm wedding – love that. Nadine grew up on a farm and she wanted to bring this treasured part of her childhood into her wedding to the love of her life. With a down-home rustic venue, handmade vintagey details, and fynbos, the couple really brought the sweet simplicity of country life to their big day, along with a happy, relaxed vibe that made everyone warm and welcome. It’s this sort of personal approach to a wedding that makes it a huge, wonderful celebration for a couple and heir nearest and dearest, a part of themselves that they share with those they love. And that’s what this wedding business is all about, right? Hello Love Photography were on the scene to capture every fun and heartfelt moment.Read More
