Vintage Organic Autumn Wedding at Orchards by Summertown Pictures

I love when couples really get into the creative design of their wedding, because frankly, that’s why I even started doing what I do! I get such a buzz from finding that perfect combination of colours and textures and design elements that will work together, and converting trends into personal details that will resonate with the bride and groom and their families. Today’s bride clearly shares this love because she had a comprehensive vision for the happy day she and her love Rob tied the knot, which included greenery, copper, warm tones, autumn details, soft candlelight, beautiful music, and great food. All the best stuff! And best of all, Cindy and Rob’s family and friends got in on the action, adding that wonderful, creative, handmade touch to everything from ceremony to reception, and filling the space with pretty (and love!). So wonderful, and Summertown Pictures were there to take these lovely pics!

Heartfelt Country Wedding at Elandskloof by Hewitt Wright Photography

It’s our lucky Friday, with this adorable wedding by Hewitt Wright Photography to share! We’re crushing big time on Lisa and Joe’s country nuptials, not just because they took place at the incredible Elandskloof, with its amazing natural beauty and intimate, relaxed atmosphere, but thanks to all the lovely details like Lisa’s long sleeve Robyn Roberts gown, her mismatched bridesmaids, and the prettiest of outdoor ceremonies. And here’s something else I love – the decor was a surprise for the bride and groom, set up by their nearest and dearest so, while we don’t have reception decor imagery to share, it’s for this wonderful, loving reason. To paraphrase the bride herself, involve your loved ones in your wedding, because the awesome memories are what really last! Hewitt Wright took these lovely, vibrant images.

Romantic Forest Wedding at Die Woud by Knit Together Photography

Black Tie Bride and Groom | Image: Knit Together Photography

Beyond snagging the perfect guy, every bride dreams of finding that one, incredible dress that will make your heart beat faster (and your mom cry, obvs). Well, imagine if the sister of your groom-to-be happened to be a world-famous bridal designer? OMG dream come true, right? That’s what happened to today’s bride, Kim, but her knockout gown is only one reason I’m so excited to share her and sweetheart Jonathan’s wedding with you. It took place at enchanted forest glass marquee venue Die Woud for one (and was every bit as romantic as that implies), and it was created by a procession of local wedding pros we love, including Bright and Beautiful‘s incredible florals, Blooming Wonderful‘s fabulous decor, and tunes by The Wedding DJ’s. Oh, and it has a cake swing and a G&T bar. I mean, does it get any more perfect? Knit Together Photography were on the scene to capture these beautiful images!

All I had to say after looking at this gallery was: YASS! Event Affairs, you ladies have done it again, stealing our hearts with this warm and wonderful winter wedding! From the setting (OMG how much do we LOVE Elandskloof?) to the flowers (especially the bride’s wow-worthy bouquet!), to the cozy reception filled with bold blooms and soft candlelight, Carisa and Frank’s wedding was one for the books. I just love a winter wedding done right, and from sherry before the reception to a special coffee station, this one had all those cold comforts covered. Rose Gold & Greenery Garden Route Wedding by Anke Photography

Keeping the natural beauty of their Garden Route wedding location in mind, this pair of varsity sweethearts set out to create a fun, intimate atmosphere, infused with bright greenery, beautiful blooms, and mixed metallics with a special focus on (swoon!) rose gold. I love all the special little touches in Heloise & Johan’s wedding – wreaths for bridesmaid bouquets (and boutonnieres!), a vintage styled coffee bar, rusk favours, and a mixture of wood, brass and rose gold vases on the tables that really catches the eye – the perfect mix of organic and glam, with an antique touch. And let’s not forget the bride’s breathtaking Janita Toerien gown… oh my! Anke Photography was on the scene to take these gorgeous pics!

Natural Greenery Wedding at Talloula by Duane Smith

Happy Monday lovelies! We’re finishing off a month dedicated to Greenery with this wedding which is full of greenery (only appropriate, right!). Kerry and Warren are one of those wonderful couples who are all about being themselves on their big day, which made many of their design choices simple (and simply lovely!), and the feeling of their big day intimate and personal. (Even more so thanks to some soft mist that rolled in over Talloula to make their photos extra romantic!) Greenery was definitely the design theme of the day, thanks to Kerry’s love for eucalyptus, succulents and other greens, which adorned the tables in long twists, lined the aisle, and made for the loveliest of flower crowns and bouquets. Add in a constellation of twinkle lights, and you have something special, all captured by Duane Smith!

Modern Blush Wedding at Waterkloof Estate by Cheryl McEwan

Take two fun-loving sweethearts who met in London town, add a palette of pinks and a pop of modern copper geometric details, serve it all up in the contemporary-meets-vineyard surroundings of Waterkloof, and… well. The results are every bit as fabulous as that sounds! Paul and Catherine have that lovely combination of being a couple who are thoroughly relaxed about details, but have loads of lovely ones to show off, from a spectacular protea bouquet to one of the most darling mismatched bridesmaid lineups I ever did see. And that’s probably thanks to the talents of the lovely Theresa of Creation Events, who styled and planned the event to perfection, joining a team of talented pros that included the awesome Cheryl McEwan and hair and makeup stylista supreme, Ida Webster.

Magical Midsummer Vineyard Wedding at Molenvliet by Mosaic Weddings & Shanna Jones

You know, I might have been doing this wedding blogging gig for a while (and thousands of brides might have stopped in for inspiration along their journey) but I still get such a thrill when a bride tells me that SBB has been a big part of her planning experience from day one. And when the end result is as heart-stoppingly GORGEOUS as Sandrine & Sam’s wedding? Well, that’s one giant compliment! Everything about this celebration makes my heart sing, not least the reception in the midst of the Molenvliet vines, the incredibly lush florals, and hello – Sandrine’s incredible wedding gown! Serious. Wow. Factor. The couple, together with their superstar planner, Cara of Mosaic Weddings, took A Midsummer Night’s Dream as their inspiration and translated it into a day that manages to be romantic and elegant and utterly magical, with fairy lights everywhere and personal touches, and peeks of floral print complementing those beautiful blooms. Basically, perfection. Shanna Jones took these wonderful pics!
